Two of Life’s Greatest Things: 1) A good pub lunch and 2) a walk through the English countryside. Fortunately, our trip to England included both of these things in abundance.

But happy as I was to have time for one last pub lunch in Turville on the way to Heathrow, I was concerned about the timing of our 5pm flight. Since we’d be flying the whole way in total darkness,  I was sure that the boys would sleep the entire eight hours. So I wondered about changing our flight time to the earlier one, because honestly … the last thing Peter and I needed was to have two little jet-lagged red-heads up all night at home!

But as luck would have it, we didn’t have a spare $1,083 to change our BA flight to the earlier one. And so just imagine my surprise when I saw this headline in the local news. That plane had landed less than an hour before ours, and we saw it next to us on the ground. It looked completely intact, with absolutely nothing amiss.  How bizarre!
